How do the top two pictures even relate to him?

It’s like me showing everyone a picture of my car I bought. He’s never done anything to personally further spacex. He just writes the checks, which is something anyone with lots of money can do.

I guess I’m just not impressed by rich assholes.

That’s just obvious bullshit what you said right there. Why exaggerate when there’s so much valid stuff to criticize Musk for?

Elon Musk shirtless near a boat. Be thankful if you cannot see it, fornit cannot be unseen. I’ll always remember him for being the only (alleged) human voluntarily rejected by the machines harvesting biological energy to power the matrix.

I hate Elon with every fiber of my body, but: No, this is not going to happen.

Most people don’t care/don’t know about Elon’s politics. Look at Henry Ford: Most people don’t know he was a fascist either, they just know that he was the guy who made cars and maybe they even know that he had something to do with assembly lines, but that’s about it.

You can currently observe in real-time how white-washing the reputation of a guy like Ford/Musk works outside of leftist circles. Mainstream media won’t even acknowledge Musk’s nazi salute ever happened, let alone how he instigates racist progroms on exTwitter.

Still, I agree that leftist spaces should never stop calling him what he is: A fascist.

We will eventually remember Ford for being a fascist and stop caring about everything else he did. Something similar already happened to Edison.

When you think of Henry Ford, do you immediately think “racist, anti-semite who stole ideas and was harmful to the working class”?

I mean, maybe you do since people on Lemmy are a little more brushed up on historical facts; but the average person?

Not a chance in hell that people remember Musk only as a piece of shit 100 years from now. Unless there is some massive societal crash, he will be remembered as “the guy who created Starlink and Tesla robots”.

I’m tired of these dumbass posts that pretend like karma is some real thing and that certainly all the horrible people in the world will have horrible things happen to them eventually. It’s pure copium from the mind of a child.

We will only remember Ford as being a racist anti-semite in due time. Edison got the same treatment. So will Musk.

Did he put that stupid car into orbit, where it will pollute and obstruct satellite orbits? Or is it launched off into nowhere, where eventually some advanced alien race will find it and conclude that humans are a bunch of assholes?

Imagine if the “world’s first trillionaire” was a good guy and used that money to build libraries, hospitals, schools or other things that help society instead of just trying to make more money and do nazi shit

He should be remembered as the guy who brought a car to space. Like, what the hell is he going to do, drive somewhere? A prime example of Elon wasting time, resources, and energy.

He did it purely to spite the actual founders of Tesla, whose car that was supposed to be. There was a long legal battle over the first cars off the line, and because Musk has always been a giant pissbaby, he decided to send it into space as a “There, now no one can have it” move.

Not really, it was a publicity stunt for sure, but it was that or a tank of water/block of concrete/some other mass simulator.

The real crime is the space pollution. Not the other aspects, they were needed for validating the rocket.

Now that you mention it, probably a tank of water might have actually been useful to someone. Like send it off on a path to the moon or mars. Or the ISS.
