Niiiiiiiice
watched a coupla videos on how to cut up the bottles in order to stick them in the mortar and it kinda looks dangerous, where does all the glass-dust go when you cut up hundreds of bottles with a circular saw? is this shit airborne, does it contaminate the environment, anyone savvy?
Glass is more or less the same structure as quartz and beach sand: silicon+oxygen. The real danger is inhaling the dust, so mask up, get a wet saw, and work outdoors if possible.
yeah, that’s the thing - “outside” would be on my property, so all that dust is deposited there, forever, that shit doesn’t decay. trying to think of some containment rig and disposal procedure atm. will be looking for other experiences; the dudes in the video I linked don’t give no fucks, happy as clams
