The green represents the need for ecological revolution, whilst the black is a nod to the original black anarchist flag. The blood red snowflake represents how the environment is dying from eco-fascism.
Edit: no, anarcho-communism is not the same thing as fascism. This is anarcho-communism for reference. Plus, this flag is made from the Canadian perspective of the melting permafrost and Arctic.
@lavenderbreton me gusta mucho, es densa y combativo.
El único “problema”, es que el copo de nieve es demasiado local, demasiado norteño, no hay nieve en todo el planeta.
Tal vez deberías probar un diseño en forma de hojas
This is made from a Canadian perspective, which is actually quite important. Permafrost is melting, as is the Arctic. The green already implies leaves.
I certainly like this one more than the basic astrisk one that just ends up looking like a puckered anus from afar or in a small thumbnail.
Gonna bother people that the line in the snowflake is offset from the background slant.
The thing is, I didn’t make it myself. I used a flag-making app
This would take no more than 15 minutes to draw on <vector app of choice>
I habe troubles finding apps tbh
You could try making pixel-art flags in Pixelorama, since that’s usually easier than doing high-res art at first.
But if you’d prefer to do higher res stuff, Krita is an excellent free drawing/painting app, and Inkscape is great for using Vectors instead.
Thanks! :)

This better?
No
If my art is so bad, go make it yourself.
@lavenderbreton @FiniteBanjo If you make the flag wider, this will fix the problem ;)

How about now?
@lavenderbreton Didn’t had the proper svg file, but I fixed the dimensions. (The flake is now a bit distorted…)
The SVG is here : https://paste.declosure.ch/?db44a4058d0ecbe0#HWvXpiCnGQzXUs6joj8fJywmvpEoVUqNemLviWqtZLFy

Thanks!
@lavenderbreton Oh you changed the logo ^^’
I like yours better Can you tell me how you changed it?

Solar punk is now communist and anarchist? Anarchist I might even able to see how one could come up with that… Why do you need to appropriate another culture instead of leaving it a separate thing?
Solarpunk is pretty explicitly anti-capitalist, since virtually all of the damage to our biosphere with global warming, the animals on it, and the conditions we humans exist under, are mainly due to capitalism.
It is essentially eco-anarchism, which focuses on building the world we want to live in right now via prefiguration, to eventually create an anti-authoritarian decentralized communist society, perhaps somewhat similar to what the Anarchists achieved in 1936 Spain.
Appropriate another culture 😂
I mean, they can overlap. Not every solarpunk person is ancom, but ancom folks can be solarpunk. Not to mention, eco-anarchism is already a thing.
