All META products are a privacy disaster.

Is this really a shock to anyone? We’ve known for decades what kind of company meta is. If it has meta attached to it, you should already know. This is why I won’t buy an oculus either.

We’ve gone full circle from random boomers posting “boobs” on twitter thinking it’s Google.

Meta is a privacy disaster

I feel exactly as much sympathy for anyone using the Meta AI app as I do for anyone whose new Cybertruck fell apart.

I stopped doom scrolling on the book of faces years ago, I only have an account to talk to friends over messenger (if I do not have an up to date phone number). I use pihole so the Facebook trackers know poop all about me, other than my friends who are less privacy focused.

I wish I could say that the network effect was a little faster, as I am forced to remain using social networks I do not want to use because the people are not there yet.
