      There is some doctrine in english headline writing that says it’s okay to substitute the word “and” with a comma. I hate it with a passion.

      I once saw a study on the Reading Grade Level of various newspapers, and some of them were like 7th grade. This was back in mid-2000s. Sicne Internet News exploded, it feels like it’s gotten much worse.

        56% of USA reads below a 6th grade level. Newspaper articles are written at a similar level so that more people can read them.
