ISPs complained about the burden and complexity of listing all the passthrough fees they had chosen to charge.
If it’s so complex that you can’t provide accurate pricing for your service, you should streamline your pricing so it’s accurate.

This is EXACTLY what I Voted For!
-Republicans LITERALLY!
Not even satire. I was still in the “talking” phase with my MAGA mother when DOGE was happening. You can walk them through each step. They’ll agree with you as you show them the evidence. Then still conclude “yeah, but it will make things better to not have government involved”.
I will never understand how someone can be so trusting of government as long as it’s fucking them over and just saying “less government” at the end.
Shutting down all the libraries and getting rid of firefighters would be “less government”.
It’s this false idea they have that things are “complicated” and they feel smart coming to the dumbest fucking conclusion that someone else said that doesn’t have their class interest. It’s how you get dumb people to feel like they are smart while working against their own material interest.
I think something is just wrong with some people’s brains where they go with in-group solidarity no matter what. Overrides almost any amount of logic and reason
Yeah. It’s kinda depressing when it’s family though. I told my mom “you tell me all the time that you’re proud of me for graduating, getting a job in software, tell me I’m so smart and how you’d never be able to understand ‘computer stuff’. But, all of that means nothing when you let your feelings about Trump be stronger than those for your son. So much so that you advocate for AI and datacenters because they tell you to. When your own son literally has worked in that field for over a decade.”
I thought that would get through to her. But the normal response of “agreeing” and then saying “but” at the end. It’s exhausting. I’ve basically gone no contact apart from a video call she gets with her granddaughter. In which I hang up if she talks about anything related to politics.
Edit: I don’t work in software anymore. Was fired from Microsoft for working with NOAA (No Azure for Apartheid) over a year ago now. I specifically worked in datacenter hardware and integration of it with Azure and AI. Fuck Microsoft.
One more thing made great again! Fees.
‘As long as we mislead consumers and keep a system of cartel regions we will be profitable.’ -CEOs everywhere. It’s about time some states “nationalize” their utilities. I doubt the USA will ever do it on a national level.
