    https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2026/jul/23/australia-politician-claims-northern-territory-water-could-flip-earths-magnetic-poles

This is such a braindead take that i am surprised she was able to utter her bullshit without asphyxiating because the sentence was too long.

I live in the Northern Territory,

Our ground water levels have been below averages for years, if we start using more of it we will run out.

    This cunts a moron

If you want to email her and tell her she’s unfit for her role her email is

    Minister.Cahill@nt.gov.au

I’d encourage you to instead to organise with like-minded people in the NT to resist allowing this natural resource to be used for profit.

She’s an idiot, and not working for the people. She’s working for the people with the money who pull the strings

We should retain the right to recall representatives, like we do in many, if not all, community organisations.

Some things are so stupid there’s no adjective that can truly capture how stupid they are. This is one of those things.

What a fuckwit. On top of this ridiculous claim, while the water table under Australia is indeed enormous, it takes a long, long time for it to replenish. We can’t just start pumping water out and expect it to be infinite.

Secondly, and perhaps more importantly, the water underground is HOT. The springs in central Australia run at at least 40C if not hotter. So the plan is to spend energy cooling water in order to then use it to cool data centres? Genius plan, moron.
