Watching a crime show, and the detective is like, “No woman could’ve committed a crime so grisly as this,” and I’m like, “Fuck you! Women can do anything!”
me when a fictional woman does something heinous: ✨yassss queeeeen✨ finally some complex representation in media
me when a real woman does something heinous: that is not what we meant by equality :(
Fun? fact: women get more empathy than men by both sexes (which is why thrillers always have a woman as victim), and so women get statistically somewhat lighter sentences for the same crime
Anyway I can fix her!!
After reading your comment, I want to put out a challenge to all filmmakers to make a film where a strong, independent, capable man needs to be rescued by other people without emasculating him in the process.
The only thing that comes to mind is in Monty Python’s quest for the holy grail when Lancelot is rescued from the castle anthrax.
I think that’s literally the plot of a few of the Hangover movies.
I agree, but only on a spectrum.
Like, if they shoplift makeup from Sephora, hell yeah.
If they murder people and eat their bodies, I mean at least they’re recycling.
But there are female pedophiles and I’m not cool with that.
also not a fan of women who abuse their kids. physically and/or emotionally but especially publicly.
Oh, yeah, 100%. I just, I totally forgot that women can be child abusers. That’s like one step above pedophile, in my opinion, but still very deep in the Burn in Hell category.
My ex was emotionally abusive to me, which is why I left.
I just realized she was abusive to our son.
