I just gotta pay rent. Anybody want a bloody alligator skin wallet?
Private do I see you embracing orphans before you toss them into orphan crushing machine
AI might be on to something with the tactical forearm pens
What are you talking about? Those slots are on the army uniforms. This image may be ai but those pin holders on the wrist have been a part of uniforms for decades.

It literally says sleeve pocket under E.
Interesting! Today I Learned I guess
Good to know but also I’m not able to find any examples where those are on the forearm near the wrist instead of up above the elbow. Your example also has them above the elbow. Does that style actually exist?

Fair enough fair enough, I retract my sarcasm it apparently has a purpose.
Here is a better diagram of the pen sleeve holder.

Why slop
AI?
Remove Ai
Literally just this. Its not like enlisting in 2000 where you might’ve thought you were the good guys or 2002 where you might’ve thought it was revenge or something or 2010 where you figured ‘forever war’ was a way to get the hell out of that small town and into college. No.
You signed up to do xenophobia for the guy who gets memed as wh40k emperor by his supporters, probably after the head war guy peeked out of his bottle to shout ‘logistics are gay!’.
If you did that, the world is better off without you and your injuries are funny, kill yourself.
Nah they were the bad guys back then too, and the current crop of numbskulls think they’re the good guys too. In 20 years time, the current crop of soldiers are gonna sell you the same excuses that the crop of soldiers sold us twenty years ago. No good
soldiersThey were always the bad guys, but as far as a dumbass 17 year old could plausibly believe? There was cover.
I agree with you.
I know a 30 year old who joined the military in response to 9/11. At that time both Democrats and Republicans supported the war efforts. Guy wasn’t the brightest, but also wasn’t the dumbest.
I know a 30 year old engineer and Mormon that joined the military this year. He joined after the US invaded Venezuela but before we invaded Iran. On a personal level I hope he survives, but realistically I hope his kill count to death ratio is below 1:1. Dudes a fucking idiot, and at best naive as fuck, nice enough guy, but evil for joining the fight for pedophilia.
Sorryabout your idiot, but I hope substantial portions of him never come home.
I mean totally fair. He’s not someone I’ll be interacting with again, and I certainly won’t be sympathizing with his woes.
Best case for society is missing enough limbs it can’t abuse a partner, sterile, and parked in front of solid works for tool company so that education’s not a waste.
Nah, not all of us are going to sell you a line of shit. There’s a reason that september 22nd is veteran suicide awareness day. It’s because when it was established 22 veteran’s were opting for suicide over living with either the things they did, or the injustice left in the system.
You think I want to be one of a few people with universal healthcare in the US? Do you know how much it sucks to watch people you love die, because they don’t have healthcare and you do, because you gave your body to a country that didn’t fucking care?
Just because veterans have serious problems caused by their service does not make them victims of their wars. You chose to give your body to the State in service of their wars. I sympathize with your current struggles, I know they’re real, but you also gotta take responsibility for your part in the misery the
army has brought upon the world. You could have chosen something else. It might have been painful, unpleasant, possibly lethal, but you could have chosen something else and not put your body on the line for the
project. And frankly, a lot of veterans have zero regrets or even reflection on their “”“service”“” and how it affected the world. Precisely, the line of shit that veterans sell is that they had no choice or did not have enough information to make an informed choice. Absolute horse shit. You made a bad choice. It’s indefensible.
I personally am willing to forgive veterans if they show themselves to be reformed, but you gotta understand that some people are never gonna forgive you for your “”“service”“” and they’re not even remotely wrong to take that position considering what your former comrades did to them, their families, their people, and you gotta learn to live with that. And I’m not out here to make that harder for you, but I can’t make it easy or painless.
You think I want to be one of a few people with universal healthcare in the US?
At one point you certainly did, and when veterans do apologism for their service, I start to doubt that they currently don’t.
Do you know how much it sucks to watch people you love die, because they don’t have healthcare and you do, because you gave your body to a country that didn’t fucking care?
You’re honestly terrible human if you think that taking any chance to escape abuse in such a way that protects someone from future harm, while having no knowledge of me or my service.
Look, as an abused kid, you know that the number one thing you want is to not continue the cycle of abuse, right? Sadly, joining the US military is one way of continuing the cycle of abuse. Think about all those kids with war injuries.
And yes, definitely the system is an abuser here too, of you and all those colleagues you saw mutilated and pissed away, but you became part of it.
I’m glad you’re out of it.
Sure, of course now I know this. As an 18 year old growing up in the represseive south where talk anout mental health would bring about harassment and more abuse? Ha. Good luck.
The point is that we have to realize that we all come from these fucked places. We’re all put in these paths because the system is shit. So sure, there are plenty of assholes like the op meme, but there are those of us raises hand that have come from trauma, lived through trauma, and continue to see trauma even without the added help of the military to juice the cPTSD.
At a certain point we should hold someone accountable for their actions, but an 18 year old who just wanted to escape? Let them lie man, not everyone is a murderous shitstain on the carpet.
As long as they’re doing their best, it doesn’t matter if they’re imperfect, as we all are.
You are right.
I’m truly sorry that you were being abused, but joining the military was not a legitimate way to escape that.
Like you could have also escaped it by becoming a serial killer and getting yourself thrown in prison, and I wouldn’t support that either, although you would probably have done less damage as a lone serial killer than as part of the largest serial killing operation in the history of the world

That’s not shooting and crying you dolt.
Then what else could it possibly be? You did the shooting, and now you want me to feel bad for you.
They’re talking about being treated better for a shitty reason and watching others who need that treatment not get it because they suck less. I don’t think that’s shoot&cry. I’ve had that feeling without ever working for the state.
They’re talking about being treated better for a shitty reason and watching others who need that treatment not get it because they suck less.
It’s not just that single part of that single comment completely isolated from context. Like yes, if the quoted part was the only thing this user ever said, I would have no problem with it. Here’s a response from elsewhere in this thread. It and its responses should fill in the rest.
I made the case that post-service, I have free healthcare and others don’t. It sucks that this is the society we live in. We shouldn’t live in a fascist utopia like Starship Troopers where “Service means Citizenship.”
I don’t disagree with any of that. What I disagree is the overall thesis that “Nah, not all of us are going to sell you a line of shit.” (I said “excuses”, not shit.) You are, in this thread, selling me your excuses for joining. And it really didn’t take much pushback to get you going. So even if you’ve made some progress, you clearly have some pro-Empire baggage to work on.
Because my example was post service, showing that I get special treatment in a society that is unjust when it should be just for everyone? Hoping for universal healthcare?
Not at all. It’s because you centered your experience, how much it sucks for you to watch other people die. You gave your body to a country that doesn’t care for you. I absolutely insist on hammering this point home when veterans are in the room that y’all gotta learn that it’s not always about your misery.
You’re talking in terms of giving your body and healthcare and not in terms of unmitigated horrors inflicted on innocent civilians due to American imperialism.
You’re privileged enough to not have had the only option left to escape abusive adoptive parents as an 18 year old be the military
Im sorry that happened to you. However a lot of people escape terrible situations without resorting to the military. It’s not the only option, but it is one of the easiest.
Those escapes are often drugs. Also, the military is one of the most difficult.
Thank you for stripping me of my humanity. You’re awesome. Have a great one and enjoy your privilege.

Don’t thank Mia; thank your past self for joining a dehumanizing organization like the
military, and thank your current self for doing apologia for recalcitrant veterans in a community where your victims come first 🤷
It’s all ignorant teenagers who don’t know any better signing up because they believe it can’t be that bad. Then they grow up.
It wasn’t that twenty years ago. Its more transparent now.
For most people it’s still about material benefits. The guy in office doesn’t really change that.
What you’re willing to do for material benefits does in fact deserve moral judgment. And the head of war called logistics gay.
True. We all have to make our way in the world. Rarely is it the way we’d like.
Anyway, gotta pay rent grabs balaclava, head bag, pliers
I’d wager the vast majority of people in the military are glorified pencil pushers. Not really much of a moral difference between them and the person stocking store shelves with the products of exploitative, unsustainable corporations. Just as there’s no ethical consumption under capitalism, there’s also no ethical form of alienated labor under capitalism.
Yeah.anyway, hold this car battery. I need to pay for dinner.
And don’t knock over the box on the counter; its got a womam’s hand in it, on ice. That goes out to a client in about an hour. Really I’m just reselling wedding rings.
What an incredibly sad truth.
