Fines for billionaires should START at $1 billion per count. Fines are meant to punish, not just be the price of doing business.

Also, significant prison time is the worst possible punishment for a billionaire. Imagine sitting in prison for years, while others are making financial decisions for your money and business, living in the luxury that you are paying for, while you sleep on a hard cot every night.

Musk reportedly travels with a security detail of 20+ people, which includes bodyguards, medics, advance scouts, etc. Going from that level of babysitting to alone in a jail cell is something I’d love to see.

Fines are meant to punish the middle and working class. The laws have been written by and for the wealthy to they can avoid meaningful punishment in all but the most egregious cases.

These were crimes against the American people, and yet the fines will go to the MAGA government, which will be given back to Musk as government contracts. So the first thing, before any fines, is that Musk and his corporations should be prohibited for ever working for the government again, in any capacity.

All fines like this, or the “refunded” tariffs, etc. should go into the America First Fund (irony intended), which will be the seed money to start all the social programs this nation needs: Healthcare, college/trade school, pre-K, UBI, etc. Fines for Sociopathic Oligarchs should be onerous, starting at $1billion for the tiniest infraction, and rising from there. Sociopathic Oligarchs need to know that even a mild problem with the authorities could easily cost $100 billion, and that will keep them under control a bit.

And serious infractions won’t just be fines. Punishments could also include full confiscation of entire estates, leaving Oligarchs destitute, and ineligible to receive benefits from the AAF. In the future, the only homeless people will be former Sociopathic Oligarchs who earned their homelessness, by operating their business to benefit primarily themselves, instead of the Citizens, and the nation. Their confiscated businesses will be operated as non-profits, with all revenues going directly into the AAF. Electric n Musk is the perfect example to make for the Sociopathic Oligarchs. Take EVERYTHING he owns, nationalize his companies, and let him live under a bridge with Alex Jones. The Ellisons are next.

When the evening news announces the daily levels for the Dow/ NASDAQ/ S&P for the wealthy, they wil also mention the AAF, for the Citizens. The programs that the AAF funds will be carefully tracked and reported on. American Citizens will see the progress of the fund that benefits them, and the wealthy will be reminded DAILY that at any moment, ALL of their money could be confiscated, and surrendered to the American people.

The AAF would stand as a concrete symbol to the American People of their control over Sociopathic Oligarchs, demonstrating to everyone that the wealthy and their corporations exist solely at the pleasure of the American people. As long as you operate your business responsibly, with the primary objective to make life better for the American people, you will have no problems. The moment you get arrogant, and start thinking you are more important than regular Americans, and operate your business to benefit yourself at the expense of the American people, your entire net worth will be zeroed out, and you will be rendered permanently homeless.

He already got his punishment from the doj, a sternly worded letter, oligarchies don’t hold wealthy people accountable under the law

If you had 100 billion dollars you could give away a million dollars every day for 274 years

Exactly. The gaping hole in the judicial system exposed by both Trump and Musk is that it takes forever for any consequences to arise, and you can just delay and appeal and delay until you get a buyable judge.

Musk is winding up to meddle in another election. Like oh no, oh golly gosh, he did something naughty last time. What the fuck are you going to do to stop him doing that again? Fuck all.

I feel like it’s been that way for as long as the US has been a country. Maybe longer. There’s almost always different rules for rich people. People pay lip service to ideals like freedom and fairness, but then there’s the reality.

Once the current felon is discharged, I assure you, a felony conviction will lead to all kinds of real world pains in the assholes, even if not direct incarceration.

Genuinely we should invalidate everything this admin has done and set the clock back to… what year is it these days…? feels so long ago? To 2024.

All the pardons he sold? Unpardoned. All the eos he proclaimed? Invalidated. Every law he signed or vetod? Reversed, or at least undone to be voted on again.

Its just wild that we don’t have any real mechanism to undo this kind of damage. I know they thought it wouldn’t happen, but fuck me, they didn’t even “what if…?”

But also, he’s a selfish grifter, why would he help anyone if he doesn’t get anything for it?

Someone on here once did the maths and showed that Musk could lose 99% of his wealth, and of the 1% remaining, lose 99% of that and he’d still be disgustingly rich. I have a feeling you could go a few more iterations without it affecting him.

Although how much of his net worth is actual assets and how much is just tied up in vaporware valuations.
