Two different protein based leftovers. Neither enough to make a meal for two out of. So I pan fried some potatoes as a base for each. Hers is the Italian roast beef on butter fried golden potatoes with late edition onions. Mine is chili and cheddar topped bacon grease fried golden potatoes with intentionally burnt early edition onions.
For those worried about my diet: I had my total cholesterol checked a week ago. 155.
Cost per person is less than a dollar each.
These both look fantastic; but the chili one really stands out. I bet some peppers would really go too
I almost diced up a jalapeno on it, but then I figured it would be too close to last night’s dinner.
So are you pricing the meal with the proteins already factored in from another meal?
When I priced the previous meals I only priced what was used at the time. These leftovers are about on sale potatoes, half an onion each, fat and about half a cup to a cup of leftover protein from things I had previously canned when it was cost effective to do so. So that price per person is for this particular meal with all ingredients counted.
