Book three of the Dungeon Crawler Carl series. The team is on a level consisting of trains and stations. I was almost right that I could reuse “Carl and Donut get to the next level, get into more trouble, get additional skills and levels, and figure more things out” except that I have to add Katia. It’s a good hearted series. As before, if you liked the prior books, you’ll probably like this one

It’s the latest one I read of the series. Overall, I think it’s a nice light read. I feel it would become great if both the psychological aspect and/or the political one would be more developed, but the outlook is constantly “I need to survive, no time to think”, that I find a bit flat at times. All things considered m, I am unsure if I will continue reading.

The further you get into the series, the more pronounced the psychological and political aspects become.

We’re both on the third of currently eight books, so hard to say where it goes, but my perception is that the political plotline of the story is growing, and my bet is that it becomes a significant element of the resolution (if there’s a resolution).

My library has a long wait between DDC books, but this is the last one I read, too. It took me a while to remember who some of the side characters were, but I did very much enjoy their development.

I am enjoying the series a lot, and your quick reviews are great!
