What is the best way to ensure you can associate the user with their advertising ID are really over 18, by using a genuine government ID, like a driving licence.

Totally unrelated but I heard a massive data leak means you can buy pretty much anyone’s driving licence for $100 on the dark web, politicians, celebs, that neighbour you don’t like. Crazy world we’re living in eh?!

The children have access to child nudity - of their own bodies!

We need to develop self-locking clothing, and only adults over 18 are allowed to undress themselves

(this is about the same level of insanity)

This won’t actually affect anybody because all the smartphones are made in China not the UK ☝️🤓

Just make the owning of an unverified phone be illegal and criminalised

Should make thinking about obtaining an unverified phone illegal too, then we can stop people before they get one.

What if I think about my neighbour obtaining an unverified phone? Will they arrest him?

General community for news/discussion in the UK.

Less serious posts should go in !casualuk@feddit.uk or !andfinally@feddit.uk
More serious politics should go in !uk_politics@feddit.uk.

Try not to spam the same link to multiple feddit.uk communities.
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.

Posts should be related to UK-centric news, and should be either a link to a reputable source, or a text post on this community.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think “reputable news source” needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread.

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.
