They need to do like BMW where the electric release and emergency release are the same handle. Just have to pull it a little further. Although the ideal is to get rid of these stupid electric releases all together.
I don’t even know how those electric releases got allowed in first the first place. Sure its totally fine to have a manual release behind the speaker grill. Money most definitely changed hands.

Remote entry and keyless ignition is the reason cars are easy to steal and insurance is spiking to pay for it.

Those were kind of a joke to get around too. The tolerances in the cams was so great, I could open most of them with a small paper clip. And I’m not talking about bending into a hook or rake, I mean I could literally shove the whole paper clip as is, unmodified, and turn the cylinder. And most thieves would just bust the steering wheel. But I’ve never seen one like you posted a picture of. I hope they reworked the locking mechanism.
