So if I’ve never purchased a physical item then presumably they’ll apply the filter on purchase attempt too. If you try to place an order for a frame and another one was placed with the same shipping address then they’ll probably reject it.
I was mostly asking for myself. I used to live with someone who is also joining the queue and trying to figure out if there’s anything I need to do if I want to avoid a false positive for the “one household” test. It sounds like there is nothing I need to do. I asked you originally since you had an address to update while I didn’t.
No problem, it wasnt super clear. Both of us live at different addresses now so it shoudn’t be a problem at the purchasing end, but I might do the post office thing so it’s not just sitting outside for anyone to take while I’m at work.
I was considering the same strategy, but I don’t know how it would work having a device that was bought on another account. I’m sure the other person would have to pay from their own account, and that they could still ship to a different address, but what about support later on? Or what about the accessory kits that are only available for Frame owners, like the ergonomic kit or the upcoming enthusiast kit? Still trying to figure out if it’s worth it to ask friends to join me in the lottery.
They will pay with their card and put my shipping address. It’s only one, I don’t want more, so likely no issue. Even of we ship to their address… I’ll just walk there?
The accessories are bought together with the frame, and the device is not DRM locked. I don’t think valve will prosecute us, when we buy only one and our accounts are 18+ years old.
I’m so fucking glad I didn’t update my address after moving recently so my wife and I don’t have the same address.
I’m asking every friend that doesn’t want one to line for me. I still think the demand will outpace supply so much it won’t even matter.
How do you do that, I don’t see an address anywhere on my account. Is it if you have added a payment method to the account?
The one for the payment method and shipping (steam link, deck and controllers over there years)

Not sure were you’re going with this, this address will receive at most one, so wheter they do that or not won’t affect me.

Sorry, I was a bit defensive. I misunderstood your intention.
I don’t know how they will do with the addresses, but maybe there are post offices or such were you could collect it?
Good luck tomorrow :)

Good luck to you too
I care enough to want it but I’ll just throw my name in the hat and see where it lands.
