Hello guys! A person I know recently got into Rednote and came across different posts by people with their locations set in China or Chinese guys claiming to to be living in Western countries and those posts claimed stuff like;
-VPN happens to be banned in Xinjiang Autonomous Region
-Uyghur langauge has been crushed and they speak and write Mandarian now while all other groups in China speak their own langauges(he mentioned Inner Mongolia for some reason)
-There is excessive security in Xinjiang Autonomous Region and the people get oppressed there
-Muslims in general are forbidden from proselytizing(guy is religious and for some reason thinks this is an important thing) and that’s against religious freedom(and he claims that there are underground Christian churches there that do proselytize secretly) (this last point is pretty wierd really)
I’m sure he has. There are people who lived in the USSR that also believe it was terrible.
Just like there are people that will swear up and down that the U.S. is a great place to live.
There are many factors to why someone would say things in favor of or against the country they live. To that end no one person is evidence of anything; their perspective & experience is singular and individual.
