this is what happens when janeway doesnt have her coffee.
Please yes. Make Pigs in Spaaaace cannon
The cannon:

Hide the ghost Muppets!
Is this real? Do I need to start watching star trek now?
Yes, S4E5 of Strange New Worlds is a Muppets episode. And Gates McFadden was on The Muppets Take Manhattan back in the day.
Only if you enjoy bad parodies.
Yes it’s real. There’s an episode in which they all get changed to muppets.
Spoiler: they end up using the second cheesiest trope to explain it away: it was all a dream.
Patrick Duffy is the wind fish
From the looks of this, maybe it was actually a level 10 one - affection the whole crew!!!
One of the worst episodes of Trek ever. I was fairly impressed with episode 2 though, solid space horror. I’d been down for more of that.
Strange New Worlds is a very odd rollercoaster ride and that’s what I love about it. You need some silly episodes to recover from the very dark ones.
The only episode I couldn’t finish was the musical one. But only because I can’t stand musicals in general. I just read the plot online instead. ^^
Life must be hard when you such a miserable turd.
Many low effort, filler episodes in this season. One episode they’re muppets, another they’re on a TV soap opera…
they were all fun
I haven’t watched in a while, but what you’re saying sounds like star trek is now basically community with phasers instead of paintball guns
Strange news worlds have been leaning into that lately, about half the episodes are more like Star Trek, the other half is fun genre playing.
let me know when they do their anime episode
you fucking asshole!!!
they just cancelled the show, there’s not going to be another season.
and now I really want that episode that will never happen!!!
There’s one more season after this one. Season 5 will be the last.
I, too, thought they were all fun. Especially the musical.
These complaints that the new Trek is too silly or ridiculous are those who never really watched ToS. Or just view it through crazy levels of nostalgia. There was some downright weird shit!
That said, even without the precedent, the screwball episodes of SNW are awesome.
They’re anti-whimsy and I won’t stand for it. I am vehemently pro-whimsy.
My one and only complaint about the puppet episode is that they tried to dismiss it as a dream. An unnecessary concession to the anti-whimsy crowd!
As am I!
I suspect the viewership is small, their run is nearly over, and the creators are in a mood to do whatever silly things that take their fancy. Fun, in spirit, but de gustibus non est disputandum, I guess.
I’m sad to say that I found the whole thing to be a low effort, filler series.
