"I’m Amber, one of the founders of Griply: a goal-setting app proudly built in the Netherlands by a small self-funded team of four.

We created Griply out of frustration with how scattered personal development tools were. One app for goals, another for tasks, another for habits… it just didn’t make sense. So we built one app that brings it all together.

A lot of our users have switched from their “regular” task manager because they wanted something more goal focused - not just for ticking off tasks - but for making real progress on what matters to them.

With Griply, you can:

    I’d live to support, as I see you cars, but unless is open source, I’m out. As good as your intentions are today, they may change tomorrow, or you may no longer be in charge tomorrow. Any and all software products, especially the online ones, all face enshittification over time.

    Im done with it. Unless its a high niche product for which nothing exists or ever will exist, its open source or nothing

      Same with the only exception being Obsidian at the moment and only because it saves all the data as plain text files and images locally in a folder structure.

          Is Obsidian not free? I haven’t used it for a while, but I don’t remember paying for it at any point. <_<

            It is free but they offer a service to sync your files for i believe $5/mo. I’m not sure whether they offer it to make profit or to cover the cost of hosting (?) your files. I saved my notebook in the cloud and use the cloud providers app to sync the files but this isn’t working as smooth as I’d like it to be. I might get a subscription one day, but it’s also not really worth it except it’d support them, I do enjoy using Obsidian.

              Yeah, that’s what I thought they worked as. I used to host my files for on my own cloud drive and that had no issues. They do have one off ‘support payments’ you could get if you wanna support them but not get a subscription.

      Yeah, it’s a shame. I have the website set up as a shortcut on my homescreen which works just fine, but it’d be easier if they had a proper Android app.
