ACAB, Zach. Love him, but fuck every single cop
“Cop and drug addict, who were also father and daughter.”
So the cop was totally fine destroying peoples lives until it happened to him personally. Exactly what I’d expect from a cop.

If a police-apologist apologizes in the woods, does anyone give a fuck?
Man people really don’t understand nuance, do they. Has a cop must downvote! God forbid there might be a story there. I highly doubt Zach braff would sign onto the movie everyone thinks this is going to be.
I thought that the ‘thin blue line’ image in the thumbnail would make it clear that this movie isn’t going to paint the police in a positive way.
Brooke Simmers died from an overdose in 2015 at age 19. Following her death, Kevin Simmers was determined to establish the type of residential treatment facility for women that he had struggled to find for his daughter. That effort eventually led to Brooke’s House, a Hagerstown recovery facility for women battling substance use disorders.
Brooke’s House also played a role in the production of Clean Hands. Graduates of the program were cast in the film, while women in recovery were trained to work alongside the production crew. According to Brooke’s House, one-third of the film’s profits will go to the organization.
That sort of nuance is never going to be noticed on the internet I’ve learned. It was obvious to me as well that by putting the thin blue line there right in the background that this was going to be “testing” his view of the thin blue line. Isn’t that obvious, from the image it’s something the character holds to be very important, so important that it brands him, and the whole movie is going to be chipping away at that.
But internet people don’t see that level of nuance, and immediate downvote.
I’m not particularly a fan of this kind of film but Zach does make me curious.
