Don’t know any details about this. Still interesting that it is apparently a thing.

How can we tell if websites like that one have been vibe-coded?

Edit: I suppose all the custom CSS and the comment strings which sound like the average ChatGPT sentence?!

I only looked at the layout this time, the fonts being used in combination with the colours and the overuse of rounded elements are usually a pretty good hint.

When you look at enough vibe coded websites you start to noticing these patterns quickly.

Thanks! Now that you pointed it out to me… Yeah, the two attempts I did at creating some vibe-coded websites featured the same specifics. Now I can tell without pressing Ctrl-Q!

Bit of a bummer team human uses slop.

And with “international agreements” we probably mean we need to focus on the USA, who are pretty much the only ones who openly said they’d like to be exempt from any kind of regulation.

No. This is just compromise-first nonsense. This is where “AI doomer stories” meet “mediocre reaction to AI doomer shit” by generating the most tech-friendly compromises in terms of laws and regulations.

AI could be the best thing that ever happens to humanity. It could also be the last.

What if we marketed so hard that the only thing our detractors were worried about was that our products were too good? What would happen to our shareholder profits then?
