They sadly don’t seem to push much effort into Linux, which is a shame, because it ties you to Windows. I don’t say that it is impossible, but much harder than on steam. The most upvoted wish is the port of GOG galaxy on Linux after all
It is genuinely sad that they haven’t brought GOG Galaxy to Linux. Thankfully unlike Steam, GOG being DRM-free means I get a choice in having their launcher on my desktop, but I’d bet (especially with an exodus from Windows of people who aren’t as techy) a lot of people would like that convenience.
Heroic Games Launcher.
I’ve run dozens of GOG games on my Steam Deck without issue. Proton has come a long way.
Fortunately, steam can have a lower priority on switching due to it being privately owned. No stocks, no shareholders, and no ‘number must infinitely go up’ bullshit.
Still, got my fingers crossed that gog can use this to grow and become the first equal competitor to steam. No, epic doesn’t count, they have publicly traded stock.I’m also fairly certain that steam is Anti-Trump/Anti-Fascism and keeping DEI policies
Absolutely fuck epic games though
they really oughtta have a linux client though
Heroic Games. It’s a Linux launcher for GOG games that automatically configures Proton for you as well.
thats nice and all but no official client? linux is the epitome of their drm-free philosophy.
Everything reminds me of my sweet Nicole.
Gog is dogshit
