Six members of United Torah Judaism (UTJ) handed in resignation letters overnight from posts in parliamentary committees and government ministries, in protest against lawmakers’ failure to guarantee future exemption from military conscription for ultra-Orthodox religious students.
That’s the dealbreaker for them. Not the genocide, because they’re okay with that as long as they don’t have to get their hands dirty.
The ultra orthodox parties only care about continued free money to study Torah all day and be a burden to wider society. That’s not new. They will support any other government policies if their handouts and privileges continue.
