Brother you need to prioritize.
Yes agree with this and categorise each into one set of broader goals, I suggest one is Programming, one could be Gaming etc. Then allocate time to each larger goal and order your sub “tickets” in there so you focus on one thing in a section at a time. For example, don’t learn Python and Rust at the same time, focus on one or the other (I’d probably suggest Python first as Rust has a very steep learning curve), but you can easily spend some time a week learning Python and some time learning Factorio, without the two things working against each other.
Edit: for Programming stuff the site Roadmap.sh (https://roadmap.sh/) is useful for giving you an opinionated task list. It’s not for everyone, but if you just want to know where to start you could go a lot further wrong than that.
Start with Factorio and get back to us in nine months with your seablock completion time.
Already poured 40 hours in current map. Launched my Space pad. Aiming for Vulcanus
I always had a very hard time with getting into more serious web dev outside of basic CSS and HTML and then I found SvelteKit and followed a video tutorial to build around my own project I had at the time for an internship.
Since Svelte follows the more usual layout of HTML tags it was really familiar for me to understand rather than jumping into something that’s JSX based. So if you want to get into web dev I can heavily recommend that!
If you want to read books, just pick up a book and read! :D
Goals!!
Great shitpost, wrong community tho
Get gud? 😄
The trick for anything is time and consistency. Choose two or three things from this list and plan when you will devote a few hours each week. During your “practice” time, find and use learning resources online.
Some of these ideas are also shorter-term kind of forming things (like avoid brain rot, touch more grass), so I would also dedicate time weekly to think of/plan concrete changes in your life to accomplish them. Rotate through the list until the habit is fully formed.
do you want a job in software dev?
Yeah 🤢
oh, find a topic you really like to write about, for me it was pokemon, but it could be anything. like your personal blog. and turn it into a website. use cloudways for hosting, it’s very cheap. buy yourself a domain name. updating the site will be fun and easy, and teach you how to write code. as you learn more stuff, you can incorporate it. you’ll get good at it, trust
