    Let’s make it a permanent solution. Both sides can increase their flagpole by 1m every 2 years, alternating. So India gets to have the bigger one for 2 years while Pakistan seethes until it’s finally their turn. Then Pakistan enjoys their flagpole for 2 years until it’s India’s time to grow. And so on.

    It would keep them occupied for a few centuries until a reasonable limit is reached at 300-400m. Or even longer until they both build space elevators.

    I mean, if I had to choose I’d much rather have a flagpole dick waving contest then nukes.

      Agreed. It doesn’t make much sense to have nukes before the flagpole dick-waving contest. If you do that, there’s no more anything left, so no flagpoles for contests. Much more practical to hold the contest first, and have the nukes after that.

      Yea, that last time the US and Russia did this we had to ban nuclear weapons in space.
