is there anyone particularly familiar with minecraft mods or map editing softwares. Im trying to customize a seed generated map to be an island and to modify certain details. Feel free to dm me as this post is not very in-theme with the community but i couldnt find a specific community for that which im looking for. Thanks in advance

I don’t really play Minecraft anymore, different block game has taken over, but I used to be big into modded Minecraft and map editing. I believe a tool called Amulet is kind of the “modern MCEdit”. Might do what you’re looking for.

I don’t know. Minecraft seems very in theme with this community. I don’t play it myself but I’m sure many here do.
In my experience there is a very noticeable age cut off. You are either under a certain age and play it or you are above a the cut off and missed it.

I don’t have any experience with making mods, but I did use a chunk-editing program once. I flew around in creative until I found an area I liked (kind of a valley, with a huge semicircle of mountains on one side, and ocean on the other). I then used the editor to delete a few hundred chunks in a radius around the circle. My objective was to have a finite area to explore around in, so that my incessant terraforming would have an end point. I don’t know if that’s your objective as well, but it’s an option.
I’d highly recommend Distant Horizons to be able to see the whole thing at all times, without relying on render distance 😎
