I’d make a political satire in a single frame where people are led away by government forces while another group of people were cheering for them and yet another group in the foreground would be making smug internal quips and clever takes about what is going on.

It’s so weird watching from the outside how USA is literally in the real world getting grabbed by fascists and even the people who are targeted next and know it still can’t seem to comprehend and accept what is happening and that it is not just a game somewhere far away.
If I was a cartoonist…
I’d draw European countries smugly eating popcorn and watching the US while authoritarianism, dressed as a house robber, sneaks in behind them and starts taking their stuff. Maybe with the caption that says “I’m so glad that never has and never will happen here!”.
The rise in authoritarianism isn’t exclusive to the US. So I recommend, instead of shitting all over the US at every opportunity, they apply some of that effort to keeping that from happening at home.
I’m sorry for offending you by being concerned about people in your country getting literally dragged off the streets into concentration camps. Not by a slippery slope in a fear mongering near future but something that is actually happening today. It’s not about USA against EU or the world. It’s about government supported troops coming for you next. Please don’t get stuck in the pitting people against people to distract from what is actually going on. Thanks.
