LinkedIn has updated its terms of service regarding data usage, which will take effect on November 3, 2025. By default, user data will be used for AI model training and ad personalization, but you can opt out now in your privacy settings.
I see why providers need to change terms and conditions once in a while, and that this needs to be possible. But there must be a way to avoid that terms change completely, leaving users to notice and catch up when suddenly their data is sold or used for AI training, or when privacy settings are changed.
Microsoft is clearly not an ethical company when it feels that this is a way to treat it’s users.
