here’s a different take:
They have been labeled “alarmist” in the first place by people who want to discredit what they have to say.
That take should be pretty obvious with a little critical thought.
Trying to discredit “Trump is going to be an authoritarian destructive force on the US democracy!” Vs “The rapture is going to happen September 24th 2025!”
Both are alarmist. Both will have their opponents trying to discredit them. One will be correct based on preponderance of the evidence, the other shouldn’t even be on the radar.
“You wanna be a genius? It’s easy: All you gotta to say is everything sucks, and that way you’re never wrong.”
