Not a JS developer. I scored 7/28 (which parses as the seventh of hexicosatember, I believe). Read into that what you will.

what i learned most from this quiz is that whoever invented javascript mashed their face in with a hammer and then just wrote the first thing they thought of on paper and said “my work is done”.

As I recall, that is remarkably close to the true story. They wanted something that could make web pages dynamic, wouldn’t crash the browser or any pages that used it and they wanted it in the Netscape browser ASAP.

One man thus threw something together that looked a little bit Java-like and it ended up in the browser fairly shortly thereafter.

Hard to believe that was 30 years ago.

Long list of reasons to dislike Eich and most of them are JavaScript or can execute JavaScript.

I haven’t done much Javascript but it has so many edgecases. C# and python have edge cases but between this and == vs === I don’t want to learn Javascript.

    I got 9/28

== vs === is easy: == is wrong and bad, don’t use it. :D

I don’t know much about JS but I managed to get 10/28

More than once I just went with whatever seems unlikely, but not too unlikely to be logical answer. Using this in production seems fitting only for courageous and strong-willed

You know a lot more about JS than what you think

I got 17/28… I do not use javascript. This is not the first time I have taken this quiz (but it has been a while).
