So he picked his horse and bet the house that Trump would be the perfect cover for the destruction of the federal government. Which is also stupid, if the federal government collapses it’s probably taking the stock market, USD, and a solid chunk of the economy with it. If they think collapsing the feds will magically put them in charge because they have the most monopoly money then I have a bridge to sell them. I never accused them of being smart enough to see the ramifications of their destruction.
