The extra funny thing is that in 2022 Zel was asked to do basically the same to the same exact guy back then, but refused to do it because “it is not within the president’s constitutional authority”

“President of Ukraine Volodymir Zelensky responded to the electronic petition that requested to pay attention to actions and speeches of Odesa’s mayor Genadiy Trukhanov. Petition’s author, Rodion Burlatskiy, accused the city’s head of loyalty to the invaders, lack of desire to remove the monuments to Empress Katherine the second and Suvorov, sabotage of the decommunization process, returning the communist names to Odesa, removal of the names honoring Azov and other dead warriors, and ownership of Russian citizenship. The petition was signed by 25440 ukrainians”

"In response, Zelensky stated that “reviewing legality of Genadiy Trukhanov’s actions, putting him on criminal trial, revoking Ukrainian citizenship and removing him from the position he was elected to does not belong to the constitutional duties of the president of Ukraine” "

They changed the law regarding multiple citizenship. Or rather actually wrote it, since it wasn’t really legally defined prior.

Multiple citizenship (subjectivity) is not allowed in cases of registration of acquisition of citizenship of Ukraine or acceptance into citizenship of Ukraine, or renewal of citizenship of Ukraine in respect of a person who is a citizen of a state recognized by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine as an aggressor state or an occupation state, or a state that does not recognize the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, or refuses to recognize the illegality of encroachments on the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, in particular, voted against the resolution of the General Assembly of the United Nations
