Steins Gate is a notorious slow burn. Around eps 5-8 (it’s been a while, so I don’t exactly remember) it really got going for me. Please stick with it, it’s definitely worth it
I don’t know if you’ll enjoy the ride overall, but the show’s a roller coaster with a long hill climb. It picks up later.
My first time watching Steins;Gate I dropped it right about where you are for mostly the same reasons. I gave it a second try years later and I’m glad I did! It really picks up around… episode 12. Yeah. 12. It takes way too long to get exciting, but when it did I found myself unable to put it down.
