Not only that, in the fine print they advertise that will transport your up to 400kg heavy treasures quickly at a whispering silence thank to its electric motor.

To me, this smells of satire. Because that’s peak German humour.

I think it‘s real, saw an interview with the ceo of the company yesterday. Apparently the lift was stolen and then used for the heist. They sort of made the best of it.

So they aren’t even responsible for renting/selling to the thieves?
And the thieves showed of a unique feature?
Things are lining up a little to well for them… The obvious conclusion ist, that the heist was a publicity stunt by the crane company.

That thing really is just another ordinary lift you will find on many construction sites. There isn’t anything especially unique about it. Maybe for a truck-mounted lift, having an electric motor is an extra feature, so you don’t have to run the truck all the time when operating the lift. But since the majority of this kind of construction lift is electrically powered, (especially the simpler, non truck-mounted versions) this is hardly anything special.

“Lifts up to 400kg of treasures […] quiet as a whisper” - this is gold!

Yes, they sold the item to a rental agency, from which it was stolen by the thieves.

When they saw it on the news, they started making jokes amongst themselves, and then decided to run with it.
