- I see that this is about AI listing but i realized that we have a huge problem of housing as an asset. - It makes HOAs protect the perceived wealth and therefore appearance of a neighborhood. They are more like collectors refusing to take a doll out of the box lest it lose some value instead if making a kid happy.
And you have assholes who assume that because they found some of thatbsame doll in their basment covered in mold they haven’t taken care of they should get nearly the same value as the collectors. Afterall its the same deeply sought after item.- All of this instead of an empathetic system of knowing that housing isnt something that is just desired but needed and everyone has gotten so far removed from housing. - Yep, housing as an investment vehicle is a fundamentally harmful concept. Strong Towns have talked about the subject a bunch, their material may interest you

- I have noticed that a large number of for sale signs near me have pictures of 20-something female models for the agents. - My experience has been that real estate agents are rarely 20-something female models, and that anyone who contacts them will be passed off to someone more - realisticexistent.
- As if buying a house weren’t impossible already, now we to contend with this shit??? AI slop can’t die soon enough.
- Now with no paywall! - Now with an infinite captcha loop! - Is there really? I don’t see one on my end but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist

- Don’t even need AI for that. In Germany you regularly see listings with perfect cheap houses. But those actually don’t exist (yet) and they list the price of their absolute cheapest offering that nobody would want and the price is without any actual land to put the house.
