die SPD war zu der zeit schon rechts genug, der sozialistischen weltrevolution eine absage zu erteilen. die mehrheit derer reichtagsabgeordneten hatte zuvor bereits der kreditfinanzierung des nationalistisch-imperialistischen wahnsinns 1914 zugestimmt. es lässt sich nicht leugnen, daß diese beiden fehler wesentlich zur historischen kontingenz, in der der nationasozialismus gedeihen konnte, wesentlich beigetragen haben.
