Ah yes. The classic argument… humans from foreign lands come to the US, buys legal arms and uses legally distributed arms against humans. People shoot people, guns have nothing to do with the problem. We should ban foreigners and not guns because guns make us feel strong and dominant, not the millions of immigrants that built this country and contribute to our economy. I’m so tired of guns having more rights than women and people of color.

Does America want more illegal immigrants and fewer legal immigrants? Because this is how you do that.

All I can say is that if you’re seeing everything happening and STILL think this is your best shot I wish you and your family the best in getting here, and hope that someday soon we’ll be far more welcoming (as a nation) than we are today.

This is what I plan to do also as soon as I can get outside the border. Trying to keep my head down in the meantime. Where are you going?

Canada made the most sense. I could keep my stuff and just use a moving service. Australia was a close second, but that’s just… soooo far away. There’s no reason the paperwork won’t go through, so June at the latest is my guess.
