There are, from random clicker sims to running actual air traffic in flight sims with such realism it took me a while to be certain it was a game (and not a air traffic union or something) when I looked up the website
That’s not what I was referring to. Intelligence is basically a combination of working memory, recall, cognition, and metacognition
The combination of these domains together produce the foundation for the “types” of intelligence, which might be more accurately described as abilities
Humor demonstrates these qualities socially. It’s not a direct relationship, more like a demonstration. Like how dancing demonstrates physical ability, humor demonstrates the factors underlying intelligence
(But you could also just be a good or bad dancer)
Yeah, I’d say humor is the better indicator. It boils down to the ability to connect ideas in creative ways, as well as keeping a longer context window in conversations
It’s not a direct 1:1, but what is intelligence really? There’s many types, and they’re all a combination of domains

That’s the straight of oman. Different straight

What longer route? It’s the only entrance to the gulf as in “Gulf States”

It’s NIMBY energy, but instead of blocking infrastructure for the public good they’re buildings so big they have weather and so loud they cause health issues. And sometimes poison the water supply apparently just to save a little money
I don’t think it’s that weird that this is where people draw the line
Sexually? Absolutely. Do you stop growing? Of course
But there’s no age of developmental maturity for your brain. It’s a popsci myth
Brain development never stops

Cool, well just ignore everything that doesn’t support your point I guess. Not like I laid out the breadcrumbs or anything
Excuse me for wanting an actual dialogue
Just imagine him slamming together hulk hands going “it’s sundar-ing time” at the R&D offices. Then one by one punching out monitors and telling employees “you’ve been sundered”
I’m pretty sure that’s how it happened

LMAO how is it a thin premise?
This isn’t some conspiracy theory, it’s an example of scientific bias. There’s experts in botany and anthropology that have already written books on the Aquery and food forests… We know quite a lot about them actually
This new study is just corroborating existing evidence we already have through lidar analysis via satellite
Which is all well and good, they’re just not nearly half as mysterious as the tone of the article makes them sound
It’s so crazy to me how Google went from like, a full decade ahead of the rest of the world in AI to unable to complete with the better hobbyists
Enshitification is a hell of a drug

Another point is that civilisation is in many ways an extension of mass agriculture, which would presumably have been the case here. Meaning, I expect that these peoples cleared a lot of land at one time, which was later recovered by the Amazon jungles.
Actually they used food forests - the entire Amazon has been heavily cultivated by human selection
Families would each have their own little food forest, which was more cultivated than farmed to have their selection. But the cool thing about that practice is that it instills an idea of “I liked this fruit, so I’ll plant the seeds when I’m done”, which results in plentiful food and game animals everywhere
How do we know all this? Their descendants are still around and still do this! It’s wild that they’re being called a lost civilization
When the Spanish first explored the Amazon River, they reported the banks were absolutely crawling with people. When they returned most of them were gone, probably because of diseases brought by the explorers
But for some reason those accounts were just dismissed by history, even though descendents of the survivors are still living there today

Actually, flock isn’t a camera company, their actual product is systems that link all available cameras and monitoring devices into a panopticon interface
So I’m almost certain these are flock cameras, or at least hook into the same system
I think it’s more indicative of pathological lying

It’s actually good UX practices to do this. You light up a path to get a result (pressing the start button to continue to the menu), and then a large segment of people will continue to press start, even if they’ve previously stumbled upon the fact that any button will work
It’s like picking a home server in the fediverse. You can tell them it doesn’t matter what they pick, but a lot of people will be intimidated and nervous about having to make the choice. It’s a major problem for adoption
You also don’t have to tell computer minded people inconsequential rules, they’ll figure it out themselves pretty quick
So by choosing an arbitrary button for the instruction, you remove a meaningless “choice” that genuinely lowers the friction for a large chuck of the population
There are also people who, if you tell them to press any key, they will happily mash the function keys and be confused and upset that unexpected things are happening
There’s even a select few who will physically look for the any key every time just to make sure it’s not suddenly been added to their keyboard, and there are even the special few that will hit the power button and get angry because they think you’ve caused them to break their computer
Some of these people have higher degrees too…I didn’t believe it until I saw it for myself

Instead of being a death notice it’s a pre-death notice, if you will. He has been moved to a longer-care facility, wherever that may be, and his handlers don’t want to deal with the rightful backlash of the rest of us knowing the truth.
He was probably braindead on arrival IMO. Kinda both legally dead but also you can drag out the official date for ages
It would also explain why the videos of the ambulance looked so unhurried and why his wife immediately left to visit China

I understand the prosecution on this one. Luigi is way too hot for television
Think of the economic damage alone, the lost productivity alone…
It’ll hurt his widdle feelings and incite him to waste time reacting though
