After your city is destroy, rather than rebuild with public funding, you will need to sell your businesses and homes to the rich.

And remember, this is only the first hurricane season with FEMA gutted, we got 3 more till the administration changes (hopefully) and someone gives them the resources they need to do their job.

Until then, you get what you voted for… Good luck , Florida…

And Texas, Louisiana, Georgia, the Carolinas, Mississippi, and Alabama. All states which consistently vote republican except for Georgia sometimes though they helped vote in this orange turd.

Not to mention all the eastern states that get thrashed by the hurricanes when they downgrade to severe tropical storms as they proceed along their path. KY, TN, OH, WV, MO, AR, GA, etc. We get what we vote for. The scale of the disasters have to outmatch the scale of incompetence to turn this around, and I don’t see either of those scales getting smaller.

Edit: for clarification: most if not all GOP diehards lack the empathy required to see systemic issues and know that we need to act collectively to address them. They must experience it. Even then, many won’t change because of a variety of educational and racist systems.

No, no, see, it’s cool… the NEW FEMA is all about states rights. Pull yourself up by your own bootstraps! Red states love that! It will be great!

Well, unless there are more fires, mudslides, and earthquakes in California…

Bonus - Impending volcano off the coast of Oregon/Washington:

As by design. We are being ruled by emboldened terrorists. Their only policy is self enrichment through plundering federal agencies. Anyone not in the club is on their own.

      I mean, technically?

      FTA:

“You can imagine that makes FEMA look very, very different. What it’s going to look like in the end, we’ll find out,” he told staff. “Remember, the president’s a bold man. The president has a bold vision, he makes bold statements.”

tl;dr “We have no idea who we are or what we’re doing, but daddy Trump says it’s OK!”
