In some street interview with AfD politicians I saw one dude talking about “relocating Germany’s politics in an upcoming multipolar world” or smth like that. Why are the ultrareactionaries now also on this talking point? Should they not despise that view and talk about usual nationalist stuff like “My country first”? Can someone explain this? Their politics have become very unsusal lately ( i mean judging by their usual politics)

Because fascists are generally better at seeing which way the wind is blowing than liberals are. It is clear that the policies of the current mainstream political parties in Germany and the EU as a whole are a dead end. They are causing more and more people to turn away from the mainstream and look for alternatives that can at least admit that what is happening at the moment is not working. The far right, as usual, is there with populist rhetoric to catch the disillusioned. It doesn’t mean that they are actually serious about these positions. They will opportunistically use whatever benefits them.

They have a lot of policies which are contrarary to the mainstream for the apparent purpose of simply being contrarian to get points with voters fed up with the status quo. I think there is also a section of the bourgoisie which sees the shifting tide and wants to take advantage of if, even though they don’t fully understand the reality.

Multipolarity is not necessarily the opposite of capitalism or imperialism. The pre-WW1 world was a multipolar one, and that is what the European far right parties take as reference for their nationalism. The goals of ultranationalists and neoliberals diverge a lot with regards to the US-led imperial bloc, because the former represent an ambitious national bourgeoisie seeking autonomy/supremacy and the latter an international bourgeoisie tied to the US.

It’s also why a lot of far right European parties are in favour of normalising relations with Russia. Do note that this is specifically a imperial core phenomenon and doesn’t apply to far right parties in the third world.

I think this is a useful heuristic for everyone to have:

If a political party in the west starts talking about or signaling willingness to reject USian friendly policy (like removing bases, doing business in other currencies, having a payment system that bypasses the us system, breaking sanctions) you should ignore them because they’re lying.

AfD of all parties saying this should clue people that it’s total bullshit. They’ll sooner start deporting turks, arabs, Jews, Africans, roma, etc from Germany while building us bases and directing missiles at Russia before they ever try “relocating” Germany’s politics.

Major western political parties are either:

    Nazis

    Or

    Moderate nazis

    No in between

Reactionaries have been using “multipolarity” for quite some time, especially academics (AFD was formerly the academic party of Germany and most EU academics are in their position because there parents were elites or nazis themselves). Words are just words at the end of the day and what we are seeing now in academia and in politics in the recent years is a battle on who gets to “own” certain terms of virtue. We live in a time of virtue politics.

Also I do believe decolonial scholar mignolo has also argued for multipolarity and hes very sussy and suspected to be reactionary.

Never ceases to amaze me that Alice weidel, leader of the afd, is an ex Goldman Sachs banker who doesn’t even have her main residence in Germany. Afd getting cucked so hard and don’t even realise it
