On January 24, federal agents killed ICU nurse and community activist Alex Pretti in cold blood, after he tried to protect one of his neighbors. The Trump administration wasted no time putting forward a false narrative which completely distorted the events to justify Pretti’s murder. Pretti’s parents have released a statement to share the truth about their son, which we republish below.

We are heartbroken but also very angry.
Alex was a kindhearted soul who cared deeply for his family and friends and also the American veterans whom he cared for as an ICU nurse at the Minneapolis VA hospital. Alex wanted to make a difference in the world. Unfortunately, he will not be with us to see his impact.
I do not throw around the “hero” term lightly. However, his last thought and act was to protect a woman. The sickening lies told about our son by the administration are reprehensible and disgusting. Alex is clearly not holding a gun when attacked by Trump’s murdering and cowardly ICE thugs. He had his phone in his right hand and his empty left hand is raised above his head while trying to protect the woman ICE just pushed down, all while being pepper sprayed.
Please get the truth out about our son. He was a good man. Thank you.

The current administration is pure evil trying to hide their wickedness
I’m still reeling from the death of Renee Good, and they just collectively turned around and shot several more, at least one dead. A complete loss of everything that makes us humans in a society.
This is what it must have felt like in Germany in the years leading up to WW2. And ever since all the lessons about how easily groups fall into such patterns felt so distant. Well, not anymore.
By not even charging the first guy they made it inevitable that others would follow. The state would not even take control of the crime scene, as if the 10th amendment didn’t give the state the authority, and got bullied off by the handful of federals they have outnumbered 100 to 1 in their own state.
Meaning unless the authorities find their spine this is going to happen again and again, here, and elsewhere. Until the feds answer for the murder, they should be followed around by the police to prevent them from murdering civilians, or something. The federals shouldn’t be allowed to lie about executing a citizen under false pretense and get away with it because of what the will say if you enforce the law against them.

Except in 1930s Germany at least there was an excuse to not know the truth. No internet, you only knew what you read or heard about. If the regime controlled the newspapers, most people would only hear what the regime said.
Now we can all easily see that the regime is lying to our faces.
Yep. And the right wingers just choose what they want to believe anyway. The evidence they see literally means nothing if it contradicts what they’d like to be true.
Speaking of getting the word out, where are these videos I don’t see any links in these threads, I haven’t watched them yet as I was not in the mood to watch another federal government snuff video.
