As of Jan. 22, Canadian bookings to American resorts for winter arrival were down about 41%, compared to just a 5% drop among US customers, according to industry tracker Inntopia.

    I’m actually sad that it’s only 41% decrease.

    I mean, that’s great, but nobody fucking needs to go to the US to ski.

      Wouldn’t there be better skiing in Canada? I’m of the mind it’s like comparing Australian ski slopes to NZ.

          Who, Australia or NZ?

          I got nothing to go on, I’ve been to neither ski field but I’ve heard repeatedly that NZ is a different league.

        I used to frequent a pretty great ski area that is on the Canadian border. They used to list all prices in USD and CAD. It was fun pretending to not understand French while they talked in the lift lines.

        Going back there in a couple of weeks, gonna miss those canucks. Tabernac!
