Netanyahu needs Israel to be a Pariah state maimed by cataclysmic war in order for his own legitimacy not to collapse, not that Netanyahu is the sole villain here by any stretch but it is always worth underlining as you have that this will only hurt jews and make them forever less safe while the true driving culprit of fascism gets off scot free, jews having served as a convenient scape goat for the world’s learned helplessness to fail to evolve and have a more nuanced conversation about colonialism, capitalism and xenophobia yet again.
