Hmm, ok, I tried that, and the command hung without logging anything to the terminal or terminating, and /mnt/jack101 ceased to be a folder, and became a binary file - one I didn’t have permission to access
aarvi@fedora:~$ rclone mount jack101: /mnt/jack101/ --network-mode
Alright, I added the config, and could use an app such as Rclone shuttle to view the files, but at no point could I set a mount point and I’m still not sure how to do that.
Thanks, I tried that and it gave a different error
aarvi@fedora:~$ rclone mount ftp://jack101:correct%20password@oncilla.mythic-beasts.com /mnt/jack101 --network-mode
2025/03/19 14:59:22 NOTICE: Config file "/home/aarvi/.config/rclone/rclone.conf" not found - using defaults
2025/03/19 14:59:22 CRITICAL: Failed to create file system for "ftp://jack101:correct%20password@oncilla.mythic-beasts.com": didn't find section in config file
but I will try to fix it
Yeah, might well be there’s an error with this version - 0.9.2/8.9.1

But it also doesn’t seem the old version is available for download…
The problem is that people spend far too long arguing what a system should be called, rather than actually arguing about the merits of the system itself.
I thought it was already out… Is the iPhone 17 not the new one? Not that I would get either, lol
Bringing more people into this world where they will suffer is certainly unethical, but at the same time I do understand the argument that parental beliefs have one of the highest impacts of determining child beliefs, so leftists having children could increase the influence of leftism in the world. Right now, I’m not mature enough to be a good parent, but if I ever am, I might adopt.
I was on beehaw originally, then I switched to lemmy.world because I wanted to see the whole threadiverse, not just the parts that beehaw deigned to federate with, and now lemm.ee because it seems least likely to impulsively defederate, ban, or otherwise get in the way of me browsing Lemmy. Also it has downvotes. But I only ever used one at a time.
I don’t think it could be anything I expect. Most of the things I have consciously evaluated about myself I’ve come to a conclusion based on rational or empirical evidence, so I am certain either in my knowledge or ignorance about a topic. Most of the time when I’ve been proven wrong it’s about a belief I imbibed as a child and never questioned or considered until then.
I hope hell doesn’t exist, an ethical creator would not create a realm for torturing people, however long it’s for, especially if it’s eternal. They also would just give you heaven now, you wouldn’t have to experience a horrible human life to get into it. And it would be eternal pleasure, just like all the happy chemicals in your brain in a magical way so you don’t build resistance to it.
Anyway, directly affecting chemicals in your brain is a less interesting but better way to either create pleasure or pain in a human, experiences are fun to describe, but not the best way to actually do it.
Idk what if anything happens after death. Heaven or oblivion would be good, hell or reincarnation would be less desirable.
Most of these shades
I thought one of the reasons he disliked Judaism was the male genital mutilation, but doesn’t Islam do that too?
It’s ok to be a butch woman.
Where are you from that you learnt it as ‘itsy bitsy’? I always was taught the rhyme ‘incy wincey’ spider.
I can certainly relate to you, but unfortunately don’t have any tips to offer.
I agree you shouldn’t use it for your own projects, but Llama is a very valuable tool as a locally available LLM, it would be an overreaction to refuse to use Llama just because it’s not a fully FOSS licence.
It does not physically stop you doing whatever you want with it, that’s the main thing, just legally. Compared to tools like Google Gemini or ChatGPT which try to technically, not just legally, prevent you using it how you wish.
I use both the Voyager app on my phone, and the vger.app website on my laptop.
