Yeah most likely. But honestly I think I’ve had my fill with this type of game. I enjoyed my 16 hour campaign but I’m not sure I’ll buy the DLC or other entities. It’s not my primary genre by a long shot so it was a bit of a “oh it’s hugely discounted? I’ll buy this and play it 4 years later” kind of thing

I liked the veggie burger when it existed. But nowadays any burger you get will look like it was prepared with a blindfold and briefly sat on. Like imagine a dry patty on a flat greasy bun, decorated with a single pickle, and spattered with cum mayonnaise.

Back when I was younger and willing to inflict fast food on my digestive system, I went to Carl’s Jr if I did want a burger. Similar price and actually a decent meal. My ex went to McDonald’s when we went traveling overseas (yes really), so I can say I’ve (unfortunately) had McDonald’s in Australia, Paris, Hong Kong, and Japan.

Australia was the worst. Paris and Hong Kong were ok, but the menu was weird. Japan was actually good. Though… maybe it was skill issue, but the menu was completely impossible. So I ended up just begging the cashier for a ham-bo-ga, please God just any hamboga I’m so hungry.

I actually didn’t play the 2016 one lol. My timeline was like:

• Original DOOM (1993)
• DOOM 3 (2004)
• Doom Eternal (2020)

It feels much more like the original Doom in an arcadey level based kill everything way, while Doom 3 felt like a horror game to me. I really liked it, though having to make a Bethesda account to play it and waiting to log in every time pissed me off. The game itself was great. High adrenaline. Jumping around the map killing everything brutally. Too hard for my old man reflexes though, so I played on easy mode.

My favourite part is when your style or the auto formatter changes over time and you have to decide between:

• running the auto formatter on 200,000 12 year old code files
• doing them one by one
• formatting them when you have to change that file
• or ignoring all the warnings forever (it’s this one, this is what you do)

Plus it doesn’t fix the problem of auto formatters writing ugly code. You can’t easily tell the auto formatter that early returns can be bracketless for brevity, but nothing else can be. Unless you add a comment like \\ ignore-rule-2753674 which makes me want to throw up

Open Weight vs Low Cost. Are these models cheap because they are open weight and having hundreds or people stress test running them on different hardware helped to lower the cost? Or is it that they are being provided as loss leaders to drive the prices down?

I wouldn’t be surprised if the A.I. in China is heavily subsided so that people use them. Not saying that’s necessarily a bad thing, but I’m not sure it’s sustainable long term, or a fair way to compare A.I. models. We need to compare the true computational and financial cost of each token internally, not whatever is being charged for it externally, otherwise you’re just saying “stuff made in China is generally cheaper” which we’ve known for decades. This might be a complicated question to answer though.

This might sound completely random, but completely cutting sugar from my life. For my entire life my sleep has been bad. Couldn’t sleep at night properly at all. Then one day I tried Keto and within 1 week my sleep became normal and healthy. I didn’t keep doing keto for long because it wasn’t sustainable for me personally, but I kept the 0 sugar rule and it’s been great. Sleeping like a baby adult.
