hardly any ‘salutes’ to the screen, but definitely some uh… ‘verbal exchange’ happening. usually several times a day, and you wouldn’t want children nearby if i’m really on roll because windows fucked something up big time. aaaaand, occasionally to and at myself because every now-and-then it truly is my fault.

my boss (of 20+ years) abuses an old core2duo era desktop (8gb ram and sata ssd, both upgrades from original specs when 10 was put on) with 150+ tab firefox plus word and excel and voice software all going at once. never shuts down, never closes an application. sleeps, wakes, hibernates on weekends. it just keeps going. she’s never had any problems and it runs really well. she’d be bitching if it didn’t.

must be a typo, or there must be someone specific who’s gonna make some coin off it… like a fast tracked product approval and first-to-market while their stocks go up and competitors wait… and wait…

like the ‘other side’ would do better with gnolf

(actually, gnolf does exist but it’s not from them and it isn’t gtk, it’s windows but seems to run ok with bottles)

one could argue that the ‘screwworm’ has been alive and well inside the u.s. for going on 80 years, spotted in various places over the last decade, including washington d.c. and south florida’s atlantic coast.

we’ve been through similar bullshit here. we just cut out those companies and never again do we buy from them, for ourselves or our clients.

last night i put something in the fridge while doing the dishes. i went back to the dishes. i noticed then that the door of the fridge didn’t quite close all the way.

i did that very same thing–i’ll close that when i’m done here.

i didn’t.

i remembered the next afternoon when i went to the fridge to get something.

selling at a higher price to fewer customers. they’re probably still making more money.

and older american made full size sedan or pickup, perhaps. those had ‘real’ horns and not little ‘beep beep’ like my old datsun and toyota had.

who’s gonna ‘out spend’ facebook for exposure on facebook to counter ‘programming’ that facebook themselves is funding so they can sell more ads that target the morons that are buying into said programming?

i used to be an assistant in corporate hr in the mid 1990s… we had locations in several dozen states plus mexico, but all of hr was in the main office. we’d fly candidates in, put 'em up in a hotel, provide transportation to and from airports and interviews, as well as a generous per diem for meals. they ‘made’ more in a day off that (even factoring-in a reasonable meal budget) than i made in a week.
