Not all your actions are equally meaningless. It seems to me they not careful enough in translating or interpreting the letter they refer to. The letter in Dutch (as it is send between bodies of government) states the following:

The first part is what I got from the news, they banned these two ministers from the country. The second part says they want make that Schengen-wide. But, as I expected, this cannot be decided by a single country. Below is a machine translation by Deepl which I guess is what Politico should have used instead:

I expect there to be people there who’d really like to know more about where their money could be kept wisely.
