I’ve had a pair of Pajar boots for almost four years now, and they’ve been fantastic. Still in just as good condition as the day I bought them. Mine also has little maple leafs treads on the sole, which is quite frankly adorable when you’re walking through the snow.
Here for Canadian politics, Toronto sports, and a little Star Wars.

16·5 days agoMy personal opinion is that they can fuck off and eat shit. Don’t tariff us, which is the single biggest affront to the principles of free trade between friendly nations there is, and then whine like spoiled children when we favour our domestically produced products over the swill we have to import from you.

Canada@lemmy.ca•About one-third of Canadians say they're optimistic about the new year: survey
41·6 days agoAs a pretty staunch Liberal who is genuinely a fan of Carney so far: I completely agree. If the NDP serves as nothing more than the sanctimonious wing of the LPC, then it effectively has no reason to exist. Even as someone who is pretty centrist, we NEED a valid socialist voice in this country’s political sphere. You can’t have a healthy, vibrant democracy without a plurality of perspectives, and legitimate representation for Canadians who share those perspectives.

I know it’s fun to pull the “all these people are subhuman trash, I am morally superior” shtick, but many Canadians have family in the States or have to travel there for work-related reasons. Not every Canadian traveling to the US is doing so because they’re quislings going to Vegas or Miami on vacation. I despise the United States with a passion, so how about we don’t emulate them by acting like mean-spirited, classless Americans?
