This is delicious and will only surprise their base, who love to paint those of us in the queer community as sexually perverted fetishists who shouldn’t be trusted with children. #notadragqueen

FYI: for those who have been using archive.today/archive.is/archive.ph for paywall evasion and archiving articles for posterity.

Apparently the operator of this archiving service has been using the service for targeted harassment (both technical via DDOS, and social via doxxing) of someone. Wikipedia, which was also a heavy user of the service, has decided to move away from the service and is trying to plan out how to do so (it has been used for hundreds of thousands of references).

Posting mostly for awareness about the DDOS part… basically it means every time you visit the service your computer is used to send connection requests to the recipient of the harassment, slowing their computers to a crawl and making them unable to host content, effectively silencing them online. So, no one should click on or use any links from this service.

The doxing and harassment and ddos are pretty awful, but I think the worst part is that they’re accused of altering archived copies of websites which means they can’t be trusted as an archive.

It was because he wrote a blog post or article trying to figure out who the person behind the archive[.]today site was.

Wikimedia Foundation is big enough (and more importantly, foundation-y enough) that it should spin up its own archive.

The real reason ICE Barbie Noem was fired.

She could violate peoples’ civil rights, injure and kill citizens for all Trump liked, but a crossdressing husband was unacceptable.

And she’s a woman, so she was extra expendable.

The only way to keep a clearance with a secret like that…

Is for it not to be a secret.

This likely wasn’t why she got the boot, but if her and her husband were unwilling to publicly disclose it, it should have prevented her from getting any kind of government position.

It’s not about what he does behind closed doors, it’s what they’d both do to keep the door closed.

The only way that isn’t a security threat is doing it in the open.

Oofta, the irony is so delicious, as always these chucklefucks can’t help telling on themselves! I just wish they’d engage in humiliation fetishes instead of constantly punching down at minority groups.

If they had healthier attitudes toward sex, maybe they would just be happier/nicer in general.

Yeah I’ve got little judgment towards the kink, it’s the marrying a fascist and clear shame lashing out that I’m judging him for

Honestly, I don’t mind the kink itself…As people should be free to express themselves with consenting adults that want to engage with that kind of play. The shame-lashing is truly wild and even marrying a fascist is one of the things that ruffles my feathers; if only our society wasn’t so puritan, so hush-hush with matters of sex, kink, etc. I think we would be a healthier society overall.

Yeah that’s the vast majority of my attitude. But I’ve also got three other thoughts in there as well. One is a bit judgemental of a “so uh what’s your relationship with your own gender like there buddy” because while I’ve absolutely known cis crossdressers, oh boy does this all look similar to the sorts of kinks one develops by repressing their needs to try to live up to social expectations for a few decades. Shame over time often gets sexual and if you leave it there it tends to get weird and exaggerated. And this isn’t even necessarily or even probably a trans thing, more likely is a struggling against expectations of masculinity or something like that, but like I highly doubt that someone married to her examines their own internal motivations and desires at all.

The second judgement is “so uh, what’s your relationship with feminism and your wife in relationship to that kink?” Our kinks are not our beliefs, I’ve known straight men who are dominant in bed and their relationships who are militant feminists and are fully comfortable with dominant women. But also, this guy’s got a bimbofication fetish, and is married to a right wing politician who’s gotten a notorious amount of plastic surgery. Did that shit have a role? Is any of this something he’s ever critically examined? Whatever anyone does behind closed doors or in spaces where it’s acceptable is their own business so long as everyone participating is ok with it, but making sure that such things don’t spill over into your views of classes of people is important imo.

Also third point of judgment is “dude, this was such a blatant security risk to hire sex workers for a kink you can be blackmailed about while married to a politician, the fuck dude”

Yeah, a sex positive attitude would help; but that is in direct conflict with conservative, authoritarian, and fascist ideology. That these people embrace, while still engaging in kink. Its one hell of a brain bender!

This is part the course in Nazi praxis.

The problem is that Americans are too stupid to do anything about this.

They are still yapping their NoKings parties are “resistance” against a settled “regime.”
