I’m planning on trying out some FL-41 coated glasses for my next pair. They are meant to help migraine sufferers manage their light sensitivity, but I wonder if they might be effective for managing my own light-related sensory issues.
Anyone here try them?
I find any polarized sunglasses help a lot. I’ll sometimes wear some at night when walking through the city.
I don’t wear prescription glasses but I have a pair of TheraSpecs that I use for shopping or anywhere with fluorescent lights. Partner has the epilepsy ones and I’ll vouch for both. I was super skeptical initially but check out the their research, whitepapers, look up the authors, theyve had their results independently reproduced and shown them at scale. We bought the epilepsy ones first and after i saw my partner don them when i was expecting a seizure and then fully recover I grabbed the autism recommended pair. The epilepsy ones have prescription lenses so that is an option. Both are high quality but pricey. They go on sale every so often, I wish they were cheap enough that I could have extras to just give out, like i do with books and some stim toys but they are life changing for us.
Dude. I dont know about them, I apologize, but I’m interested too now that you mentioned them, especially about the migraine part…
I usually just use polarized sunglasses that have large wrap around plastic sides (sunglasses that fit over regular glasses), and polarized clear lenses (non prescription) at night.
