Both the guys should run away together.

Sidebar: I’ve had too many of these interactions for my wife.

Me: is this the thing? Any problems with it?

Him: I don’t know. Wife just said to give it to you.

Me: was it £20 then? Was that right?

Him: don’t know. Must be right if that’s what your Mrs gave you.

But I shall forever remember the one time I was working and so was the other guy, so we both sent our wives to complete a GPU purchase. She could have given my wife a rock and my wife could have paid with a leaf and both could have said “don’t know, thats what he said”.

When I was married, my wife sent me to go pick up a meat freezer she told me was being given away. Go down to the spot and meet the people with the freezer, get brought in to the house to unplug and cart the fridge out to my vehicle, but the other people were a bit akward about it and it was kinda weird. Find out when I get back home they were actually asking for $150, not giving it away and my wife just lied to me, and the people selling it never spoke up while I was leaving. So I basically stole someone’s freezer.

Even the whole “Let’s meet at a public place to do the transaction” thing is considered weird around here. You just give the buyer your home address and a time to show up and pick up their stuff. Way less hassle because it doesn’t disturb your schedule much if the buyer ends up not showing up.
